Dr Santhosh Jacob was born in Chennai, after completing his MBBS in the prestigious SRMC- Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Porur. He worked as a junior resident in the departments of General Surgery, Obstetrics and Orthopedic surgery in Bethesda mission hospital, Ambur for 2 years and 3 months. It was here where his love for Orthopedic surgery grew and so did his love for movement.
He completed his post-graduate training in Orthopedic and trauma surgery in the famous Southern Railways Head Quarters Hospital, Chennai. He was selected to train in Celle, Germany under Prof Hans Jorg Oestern where he completed his fellowship in joint replacements and then went on to Srilanka to enrol and complete his P.hD is sports medicine.
He then completed this MCh in Hip and knee surgery at the University of Seychelles, American institute of medicine. His practice primarily involves Hybrid Joint Replacements, Arthroscopic surgeries of knee and shoulder, minimal access procedures of spine and neck, ultrasound-guided sports injury interventions, varicose vein laser treatment and musculoskeletal stem cell and PRP procedures.
As his interest in Regenerative Medicine and stem cells grew and as his practice involved a lot of platelet-rich plasma and sports injuries he pursued his board certification in Regenerative medicine at the prestigious American Board Of Regenerative medicine.
He is currently the Chairman executive board of interventional and regenerative orthopaedics, IASRM. His role is to further the cause, education and research in the field of Regenerative medicine. He believes that everyone has a right to move better and without pain and that is what he helps every one of his patients and friends do.
